Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving and forward Kevin Durant started to get shots up at the team’s facility this week.

The new NBA season is just around the corner and that means a lot for Brooklyn Nets fans. They’ll finally get to see their new superstar point guard Kyrie Irving in action. The Nets signed him to a four-year, $141 million deal this past Summer at the beginning of the free agency period.

However, it’ll be a year before fans get to see their new superstar forward Kevin Durant run up and down the floor for them. The former Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warrior will sit out the season as he nurses a ruptured Achilles.

However, that doesn’t stop him from working on his shooting form. Durant and Irving were seen getting shots up at the Nets facility this week.

Durant signed a four-year, $164 million deal this Summer with the Nets. The organization believes him and Irving will lead them to a place in which they’re legitimate contenders in the Eastern Conference for years to come. This, even with Durant coming off a major injury.

In addition to Durant and Irving, the Nets signed veteran center DeAndre Jordan to a four-year, $40-million deal. However, Jordan may come off the bench. The Nets have a plethora of younger talent on the roster, including Jarrett Allen, Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert.

Brooklyn begins their three-game preseason slate against the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 10. Their regular-season schedule will begin at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 23.
