Odell Beckham Jr made himself at home in the early stages of Monday’s return to Jersey, as Cleveland took an early lead on the New York Jets.

It was deja vu all over again at MetLife Stadium for Odell Beckham Jr.

Back at his former stomping grounds, Beckham’s former blue employers were nowhere to be found, but he was able to beat the New York Jets, the stadium’s green tenant, for some old fashioned OBJ magic.

Facing 2nd-and-12 at the Jets’ 37-yard-line, Cleveland’s opening drive enjoyed a major boost when Baker Mayfield found Beckham at the cusp of the sidelines. Beckham caught it with his traditional flair, as he caught it one-handed for a gain of 33.

The Jets, however, gained the last laugh. Cleveland needed just four yards to break into six points, but the Jets defense remained strong, forcing Mayfield into a pair of incompletions before Austin Seibert emerged for a short field goal.

Beckham missed the latter plays of the drive, as officials forced the displeased receiver to the sidelines due to helmet issues.

Cleveland leads the Jets 6-0 in the first quarter.
