Retired New York Jets running back Curtis Martin tells Le’Veon Bell that he can ‘own New York’ in a new episode of One Jets Drive.

This week, the New York Jets released the final episode of One Jets Drive, a featured show on their official website. In the most recent episode, Jets running back Le’Veon Bell sat down with legendary Gang Green running back Curtis Martin.

The current and former backs played chess and discussed the game of football, with Martin giving Bell great advice to keep and utilize going forward.

“With the way you are, and the ability that you have, you can own New York,” Martin said. “At the height of my career, I’d just goi into restaurants and the whole restaurant would just say ‘J-E-T-S.’ Anywhere I went, everything was just available to you. One of the things that I think is important is how you utilize that … when things are going in your favor and everything is at your fingertips, now how are you going to use that power.”

Bell is entering his first season with the Jets after spending his each of his previous years in the pros with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Pro Bowl running back will be looking to have a big year in head coach Adam Gase‘s offense and also take a good amount of pressure off of second-year quarterback Sam Darnold.

The Jets’ final preseason game is this Thursday against the Philadelphia Eagles at 7 p.m. ET. Bell will not play in the game.
