New York Giants stud running back Saquon Barkley talks March of Dimes and labels himself the “best running back in the NFL,” and he’s right.

Saquon Barkley is the type of person New York needs now more than ever. In the wake of the most criticized draft in their long history, the New York Giants humble superstar reminded us that embracing new teammates is what make players into leaders and winners.

I caught up with the 22-year-old running back at The March for Babies event in New York City. He was joined by his wife and daughter, Jada, who just celebrated her first birthday. It was refreshing to see authentic excitement about watching his daughter grow and is extremely easy to see that fatherhood adds character and perspective to the Pro Bowler.

As for his newly-drafted teammates, Barkley wants to take them all to dinner as soon as possible. Now that he’s been in New York for a full year and has the restaurant scouting report on lock, he says a trip to Catch or Mastro’s is in the game plan.

Finally, I put Mr. Barkley on the Vivalo spot with my “Question of the Day;” who is the best running back in the NFL? He chose himself, naturally, but provided respect to the other top backs like Zeke (Ezekiel Elliott), TG (Todd Gurley), AK (Alvin Kamara) and Christian (Christian McCaffrey).

Ladies and gentlemen, and Giants fans, we have a good one on our hands here. I just hope the New York Giants front office can put the right pieces around him; he deserves it.
