NBA players are touring cities for a new multimedia venture and Brooklyn Nets guard D’Angelo Russell will show why Brooklyn is home.
As the Brooklyn Nets prepare for a crucial free agency, D’Angelo Russell is readying himself for a tour of his city, similarly to Kevin Durant and Kyle Kuzma.
Doug Zanger of Adweek reports that the Nets point guard will be featured on UNINTERRUPTED’s new three-part series, “FLY BY.”
“The Fly By series will continue with episodes focused on Los Angeles with Lakers star Kyle Kuzma and Brooklyn featuring Nets guard D’Angelo Russell,” writes Zanger.
The series, dubbed “FLY BY” will air on LeBron James’s platform UNINTERRUPTED, which began Thursday night. “FLY BY” features just three cities: San Francisco, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles.
The first episode followed Durant in San Fransisco. The final two episodes will follow Russell in Brooklyn and Kuzma in Los Angeles.
Russell is capping off a career-season and he’s the catalyst in Brooklyn’s playoff push. He’s averaging 20.7 points and 6.7 assists over 72 games played, both career-highs.
Although his play on the court speaks for itself, Russell is becoming a more-well known figure off the court. His inclusion in UNINTERRUPTED’s latest work is a prime example of his growing popularity.
He’s shown the world why he’s an All-Star this season and now he’ll have the opportunity to us why Brooklyn is home.
Update:
An earlier version of this story stated that Kevin Durant and D’Angelo Russell would appear in an episode of “FLY BY” together. This is not the case and each player is touring a specific city.
