On the heels of his 39-point explosion against the Sixers, Spencer Dinwiddie receives his long-awaited extension from the Brooklyn Nets.
Spencer Dinwiddie is having the best 24 hours of his young life.
After scoring a career-high 39 points against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Brooklyn Nets’ point guard was rewarded for his impressive efforts this season.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski (because…who else would it be breaking this news), Brooklyn appears to feel the giving spirit amidst the holiday season. The two parties agreed upon an agreement on a three-year, $34 million deal.
Spencer Dinwiddie will get $34M over a three-year extension with Nets, league source tells ESPN. There will be a player option on third year, sources said.

Brooklyn beat Woj’s report by a minute, posting the breaking news to the team’s Twitter account.

Dinwiddie is understandably hyped about the extension and he took to Twitter with a simple message for his fans.
@BrooklynNets I’m home ??

Dinwiddie has the been the fuel to the Nets recent three-game win streak. The recent win-streak has, of course, followed the Nets eight-game slide that put them in the sights of the mainstream media for all of the wrong reasons.
The D’Angelo Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie extensions have been arguably the biggest talking points among fans and media alike when it comes to the Nets. It appears that they’ve made their choice on half of their scoring backcourt. Now, it’s time to see if Brooklyn’s front office feels as strongly about their other young point guard.
