New York Giants video: Adrian Peterson is loving Saquon Barkley

The New York Giants know that Saquon Barkley is something special. Well, now one of the greatest running backs to ever play the game has confirmed it.

So far this season, the only highlight for the first half of the New York Giants’ year has been the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Saquon Barkley has been tearing up the running game and making everyone take notice.

Well, Adrian Peterson has certainly taken notice of the young phenom, as he met with Barkley after the game and shared some words of wisdom moving forward.

Peterson made sure to let Barkley know that he has been watching him play and that he loves what he’s been seeing so far. From one 26 to another, Peterson gave some solid advice for Barkley to keep moving forward to keep working to be the best.

Peterson has had quite a career, staring with his first-round selection in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. The 33-year-old stayed in Minnesota for a great chunk of his career before signing a two-year deal to play in New Orleans. After that, he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals and now finds himself in Washington, D.C. with the Redskins.

Guys, this is a huge deal. Barkley is hearing all this from an athlete who won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year back in 2007, an award that Barkley could easily secure if he keeps this up.

So far this season, Barkley has been the entire New York Giants offense. He has ripped off some incredible runs but he’s also been a primary receiver for this Giants team. He has a total of 905 yards this season, scoring seven total touchdowns.

The world thinks this kid is going to be something special and now Adrian Peterson has just confirmed it. When you listen to advice from one of the best running backs in the game, you’re bound to find success.
