New York Mets first baseman Wilmer Flores provided his team their first walk-off victory of the year courtesy of a home run against the Milwaukee Brewers.
- New York Mets 3 (12-2)
- Milwaukee Brewers 2 (8-8)

- Citi Field, Queens, New York
Wilmer has done it again. The man who’s extremely familiar with the art of the walk-off added to his impressive list on Sunday.
In the box with a 1-2 count against Milwaukee Brewers reliever Matt Albers, New York Mets first baseman Wilmer Flores took a hanging sinker for a ride.

Mets win, 3-2, taking the rubber-game from the Brew Crew while improving the team’s unbelievable early-season record to 12-2.
Noah Syndergaard took the ball from Mickey Callaway and impressed to the tune of no runs and 11 strikeouts while surrendering just two hits in 5.1 innings pitched. He did not factor into the decision but left everybody with a tingling impression for future Thor starts.
New York struck first. In the first inning, it was Todd Frazier who knocked in Brandon Nimmo. Speaking of Nimmo, was he, who started in right field on Sunday, who answered back for the club in the bottom of the sixth inning with his first shot of the year.

The Mets needed it as the inning prior, Robert Gsellman yielded two runs in relief of Syndergaard. Other than Gsellman, however, the Mets pen was flawless. A.J. Ramos, Jerry Blevins, Hansel Robles and Jeurys Familia combined for 2.2 innings of no run, no hit ball. Familia picked up the win, his first of the young season.
Offensively, the Mets only mustered seven hits on the day. Young Nimmo came away with three.
Next up for the Mets will be the defending NL East champion Washington Nationals who come to Flushing for a three-game set starting Monday night at Citi Field. First pitch comes your way at 7:10 p.m. ET.
