Today’s Brooklyn Nets news features center Timofey Mozgov and team Russia advancing to 4-1 in the EuroBasket league.

After losing to Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis and team Lativa on Tuesday, team Russia picked up right where they left off Thursday afternoon.

Russia took down Great Britain 82-70, improving to 4-1 this season.

Nets center Timofey Mozgov recorded 11 points, along with 10 rebounds and two steals.

Brooklyn’s assistant general manager Trajan Langdon was on the scene to examine the big man’s summer development. Mozgov has big shoes to fill after the exit of franchise player and center Brook Lopez.

This win placed Russia in the first round of EuroBasket playoffs.

Mozgov and team Russia will square off against team Croatia on Sunday at 21:30 GMT. If they defeat Croatia, they will play the winner of Lithuania and Greece in the second round.
