LaVar Ball, obviously, wants to be a Kardashian since he just successfully picked up a family reality show on Facebook.

LaVar Ball is taking his family to reality tv.

According to Denise Petski of Deadline, Facebook has greenlighted a docuseries about the Ball family. LaVar’s sons Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo have taken the basketball world by storm. The docuseries doesn’t have a title yet and the number of episodes and the length of episodes is still to be determined.

The Ball family getting a show isn’t a surprise since LaVar hinted at the possibility of a show on Undisputed in March.

The Ball family series is part of Facebook’s plan to get into the video business. Facebook has also greenlighted Returning the Favor which features Mike Rowe (Somebody’s Gotta Do It) in addition to the Ball series.

“Our goal is to make Facebook a place where people can come together around video,” Nick Grudin, Facebook’s vice president of media partnerships said. To help get there, we’re supporting a small group of partners and creators as they experiment with the kinds of shows you can build a community around — from sports to comedy to reality to gaming.”

So when did LaVar change his last name to Kardashian? He should change his last name to Kardashian since he’s trying to be like the Kardashians. The question is will people watch the Ball docuseries or would they rather watch the Kardashians instead?

Lonzo Ball was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers last month. He reportedly signed a four-year, $33 million with the Lakers earlier this week. LiAngelo will be a freshman at UCLA in the fall. LaMelo has committed to going to UCLA.

The Ball docuseries should be interesting to watch and might be better than watching the Kardashians.
