Forget about the offensive line for a moment and trust Jerry Reese and the New York Giants for selecting tight end Evan Engram.

Evan Engram was a great pick for the Giants. Jerry Reese had his pick of who he wanted when he was selecting and he went with Engram.

The tight end will be a life saver for Eli Manning. Not since the days of Martellus Bennett have the G-Men had a vertical or legitimate threat at tight end.

While Forrest Lamp and other offensive linemen were still on the board, they all carried question marks and did not fill as big of a need as tight end.

Jerry Reese realized the Giants had a hole at the position and he went out and filled it. Linebacker was also a need, and it will be seen how Reese will address it after he passed on some good linebackers in the first round.

Evan Engram may not be the flashy pick that David Njoku may have been, but Giants fans need to trust in Jerry Reese.

In the 2014 NFL Draft, Odell Beckham Jr. was seen as a bit of a reach, but we all know how that has turned out.

I, for one, when Odell was drafted, blurted out “Who the f*** is that?!” At the time, I had wanted Aaron Donald to be the selection. I have learned to trust Jerry Reese. After all, he’s the general manager of a two-time Super Bowl championship team.
