Daniel Murphy Burns the New York Mets Yet Again, This Time on a Slam (Video)

Since being let go in free agency two years ago, Daniel Murphy has shredded the New York Mets — and he made things a little worse tonight.

Over the seven seasons Daniel Murphy was a part of the New York Mets organization, the southpaw never hit more than 14 home runs. But during his first season in Washington D.C. with the Nationals, he hit 25.

You could say Mets fans might be a little upset about it.

Well Murph managed to make things a little worse tonight, as he cracked a first-inning grand slam off Zack Wheeler on a low 96 mph fastball.

Before tonight, Murphy had hit .393/.429/.714 with seven homers and 21 RBIs over 21 games against the Metropolitans.

Reactions from fans around the Twitter-verse were about what would be expected.
