New York Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia is wearing a sharp pair of Air Jordan 4 cleats with a Dodger blue design featuring the number 42 and the Brooklyn Dodger’s logo.

CC Sabathia is a heavy advocate of trying to attract more African-Americans to the sport of baseball, especially due to the dramatic decline of African-Americans in the sport over the past few years.

“People were saying I was crazy 10 years ago when I said it in 2007, that it was becoming an epidemic.” Sabathia told the Daily News. “Look at it now. The numbers just keep dwindling. It’s disturbing, but there are so many factors, and I get it.”

Another member of the Bronx Bombers who is wearing a special pair of cleats is all-star reliever, Dellin Betances.

Betances is displaying a pair of Air Jordan 6’s with navy and royal blue coloring with designs featuring the Brooklyn Dodgers logo as well as the number 42.

The New York Yankees will be looking to continue their hot streak, going for their sixth straight victory on Saturday while honoring the legacy of Jackie Robinson at the same time.
