NBA Trade Rumors ramp up as the Detroit Pistons contact the Brooklyn Nets regarding Andre Drummond.

According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Detroit Pistons have engaged in trade talks with the Brooklyn Nets regarding center Andre Drummond.

The Brooklyn Nets are shaping up to be serious sellers at the NBA trade deadline. Speculation regarding potential trades continue to grow as the team tries to recover from a series of poor decisions made by their former general manager, Billy King. Thursday’s trade deadline is the team’s first under new general manager Sean Marks and all signs indicate that they are looking to recoup draft picks.

However, the Nets are currently sporting a roster void of significant trade value, outside of starting center Brook Lopez, and have recently been forced to lower their asking price for the seven-foot big man. Despite the Nets decision to reassess his value, the team stands firm that any trade involving Lopez must include a first-round draft pick.

The addition of Andre Drummond trade rumors is an interesting twist to the current narrative. Andre Drummond is an athletic big man who fits well with high paced offense of Head Coach, Kenny Atkinson. If the Detroit Pistons are willing to include a first-round draft pick in the package, expect the Brooklyn Nets to listen.
