New York Yankees top prospect Gleyber Torres showed off his sweet swing while taking batting practice on Thursday.
The New York Yankees are getting ready for spring training camp and top prospect Gleyber Torres has gotten off to an early start already, showing off his sweet swing during batting practice.
The stellar slow-motion video was taken at FIU University’s baseball stadium in Miami on Thursday, where Torres went for a workout to start to get ready to report to spring training on February 18 in Tampa.
Since coming to New York from Chicago, Torres has been the definition of spectacular, proving his worth even more this fall in the Arizona Fall League.
In 18 games with the Scottsdale Scorpions, the right-hander slashed .403/.513/.645 with three home runs and 11 RBI’s, earning him the MVP honors for the league.
Torres is currently ranked as the number three prospect in all of baseball just behind Andrew Benintendi and Yoan Moncada, two players who have already made their mark in the majors.
The middle infielder is set to begin 2017 with the Yankees Double-A affiliate Trenton Thunder and should dazzle fans in the Bronx for a long time to come.
