Your Brooklyn Nets laid the wood to the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night deep in the south of our great country.
The 11-game slide Kenny Atkinson’s squad was riding has come crashing down thanks to 144 splendid points in four quarters of basketball play. Better yet, the high scorer for the Nets only amassed 23 points.
Both Brook Lopez and Bojan Bogdanovic were the men who led the way with 23. Lopez collected his in only 24 minutes of action. Bogdanovic nailed two from downtown and also collecting nine boards.
Brooklyn trailed by three at the half but quickly turned the second frame into their quarter, outscoring the Pels 37-22. They never looked back from that point on.
The Brow, otherwise known as Anthony Davis, was kept in check all night. His 22 points led New Orleans, but the only other player on the home side close to that number was Dante Cunningham (14 points).
Caris LeVert, who’s been coming on as of late, led the Nets six assists while adding 17 points.
Now sitting at nine wins, Brooklyn will next turn its attention to the Hornets in Charlotte for a Saturday night, quick turnaround date.
