Quotes aplenty are coming from the mouths of many New York Giants including Eli Manning who had interesting words about Odell Beckham Jr.

The fallout from the New York Giants devastating loss to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday continues.

Other than cleaning out the lockers, which always the worst time for any athlete, reports about trashed airplanes and interesting quotes are coming in fast and furious.

The latest one to create a semi-buzz comes from quarterback Eli Manning, via ESPN. Manning, who was humming the ball around Lambeau Field in the first half, had this to say about his best wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr., who struggled mightily in the biggest game of his career:

“You’ve got to learn that the perception of things makes it different,” Manning said Monday, less than 24 hours after the Giants’ season-ending 38-13 loss in Green Bay. “You do things, you’ve got to back it up.”

“I don’t think it had an impact on the game. I thought we had a great week of practice. Guys were making plays and running around and intense and focused and everything [was] good. Unfortunately we just didn’t have it yesterday.”

OBJ didn’t speak to reporters on Monday. He, as previously reported, did allow the world to find out just how upset he was with the loss when he punched a hole through the wall after Sunday’s game.

While many will try to make Eli’s quotes a big deal, it’ll have very little impact in terms of relationship or fuel.

At the very least, however, it’s nice to know Manning preached a few words Beckham needed to hear.
