Jeremy Lin was out with back spasms, but the Brooklyn Nets were able to steal a victory and tie up the season series with Los Angeles. The offense wasn’t good for either team — both shot 38 percent from the field — but Brooklyn was relentless in their attack and attempted 40 free throws, making 30.

Three Nets finished with more than 20 points, and Bojan Bogdanovic‘s 23 lead all scorers; Sean Kilpatrick had 22 and Brook Lopez tallied 20.

The Lakers had six guys crack double-digits, but sluggish showings in the second and fourth quarters sealed the deal for them. Los Angeles had just 13 points in the second after a 30-point explosion to open the game, and the Nets defense held them to 21 in the fourth.

Lou Williams led the team with 16, and Timofey Mozgov recorded a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double. Larry Nance Jr., who had just six points and four rebounds, dunked all over Lopez late in the third and is now a front-runner for the dunk of the year.

The Nets’ next game is Friday, Dec 16 against the Orlando Magic.

I'm obsessed with basketball. I play (my hesi pull-up Jimbo is cash), I write and cover the Nets here at ESNY. My work has been seen on Bleacher Report, Sports Illustrated and FanSided. I also run my company, TBN Media. My favorite NBA player is Isaiah Thomas because I can look him in the eye.
