‘MLB The Show’ returns with gameplay that’ll excite many of the baseball fans of the 1990s: Retro Play including Ken Griffey Jr.
It’s back. Well, not yet, at least.
While there are still a few months before PlayStation unleashes the best sports game on the market at us, the anticipation will be nothing short of killer. The most recent trailer of MLB The Show 17 proves that notion correct.
Take a look at the video above. The next version of The Show will feature a Retro Mode, via PlayStation’s official blog:
Introducing “Retro Mode,” a retro gameplay experience that pays homage to the classic baseball games many of us grew up playing. Retro Mode allows you to move the pitcher across the pitcher’s rubber and move around the batter’s box with ease, classic on-screen displays, an old school soundtrack, unique sound effects, a throwback pause menu and more.
Retro Mode is entirely separate to the popular Road To The Show, Diamond Dynasty and Franchise game modes. This new way to play MLB The Show is designed to be a fun, throwback game mode that instigates battles on the couch with friends.
What’s that, Bart Scott?
