Anthony DeSclafani acquired by the New York Yankees in exchange for Chance Adams, Luis Torrens, and Hoy Jun Park.
This is one of the trades on the list that includes much of the lesser known pieces around baseball. Anthony DeSclafani is a starting pitcher for the Reds who has seemingly found success this season with an ERA of 2.93 in 17 starts.
According to Fangraphs, his fastball usually stays around 93 mph but can touch 95 on the radar gun. He also throws a nice slider, as well as a two-seam fastball with an occasional knuckle-curve.
The players the Reds would be receiving in the deal would be some of the top prospects in the Yankees farm system. Chance Adams is a starting pitcher ranked as their number 13 prospect, Luis Torrens is a catcher ranked number 16, and Hoy Jun Park is a shortstop ranked number 21.
As noted, the Reds would be receiving a pretty big haul of young prospects, which includes three of the Yankees top 30 prospects. With a team in full rebuild mode like the Reds, this group of prospects could be very beneficial to them heading into the future.
