Candice Lee, the mother of New York Jets rookie Darron Lee, has quit her TV job to become her son’s manager.

What is with these New York football rookies and their moms?

First Annie Apple – the mother of New York Giants’ Eli Appleblows up in the Big Apple, and now Darron Lee’s mom has announced she’ll soon arrive on the scene.

According to Ken Gordon of the Columbus Dispatch, Candice Apple has given 90 days notice to her current employer to become the full time manager for her son Darron.

Apple will be leaving her full time position as an anchor for WCMH-TV in July to become what the New York Jets rookie refers to has his “mom-ager.”

“I want to be there for many of his games,” Candice said, “and working weekends would not be conducive to traveling to see him play. Plus, it was time – I have been in the business for 19 years.”

Candice will be leaving a position she’s held since 2007 to become the Manimal’s mom-ager.

Move on over Annie, Candice is starting to show face.
