Potential New York Mets All Stars

Neil Walker

2016 free agent signing Neil Walker, has turned out to be a very nice pickup for the Mets. The 30-year old is hitting .273, with 12 homers and 23 RBI. Those 12 home runs are 3 shy of the league lead and four less than he hit all of a year ago.

Walker’s home runs are leading all National League second basemen by four and his 23 RBI put him at fifth among that same group. He has never made an all-star appearance and he does have some competition this year in the likes of former Met Daniel Murphy and Ben Zobrist but there is no clear cut above all second baseman.

If Walker could go on a real hot streak from now until the all-star voting he should have a real shot at making his first appearance.  Mets’ fans should definitely help him out here because he is deserving of the nod.

I have been a passionate sports fan my whole life. It started from when my parents would take me every year to Yankee Stadium for Old Timer's Day. I enjoy all sports but baseball is my favorite. I am a proud father of a beautiful little girl and manager at AT&T.
