Now this man is potent.
Antonio Cromartie, cornerback of the New York Jets and much maligned for his vast “fatherly duties” over the years, is now expecting twins with wife Terricka, via U.S. Weekly.
Terricka learned she was pregnant last October when she went to the emergency room due to bad cramps.
Antonio, of course, aside from playing the role of a Pro Bowl cornerback on Sundays, is also famous for having fathered 10 children with several different women. The twist in this case comes when realizing Cromartie had a vasectomy done so this sort of thing wouldn’t happen.
“I didn’t even tell Antonio right away because I didn’t think it was possible,” said Terricka. “I was going back and forth in my head how it could even happen. In my head we were good to go, we were having free sex! I just really thought that his procedure was the best protection you could have at this point.”
Antonio added a little honesty to the conversation:
“Originally, he was like, ‘Oh, s–t! Are you serious? How did this happen?'” Terricka recalls. “It was shocking news for the both of us. It took me a while to process it, but Antonio stood firm and was saying, ‘It’s God’s will.’ And he’s been excited the whole time.”
According to WebMD, a vasectomy is an 99.85% effective birth control method. Only one to two women out of 1,000 will have an unplanned pregnancy in the first year after their partner has had a vasectomy, the site said.
Antonio has always been able to poke fun at himself in this area of life, recently doing so from his Instagram account:
What can be so bad about adding twins to a number of 10? The more the merrier.
