On a very strange night for everybody watching, the New York Mets drop one to the San Diego Padres by the final of 7-3.
In the end, the New York Mets failed to pickup their fourth straight win on Wednesday night as they fell to the San Diego Padres by a final of 7-3.
Bartolo Colon simply couldn’t get the job done, yet again. He surrendered 10 hits and six earned runs in just 2.1 innings on the night. This loss stretches his personal loss streak to six.
Justin Upton had a monster night at the plate with two hits, three runs batted in and a third inning home run.

That was the result in the end. In the middle – and the sole reason Mets fans feel like they won tonight – came the news that Sandy Alderson struck gold in acquiring Carlos Gomez for Wilmer Flores and Zack Wheeler. It created a strange and painful situation for Flores, who started the game.

The only bright spot for the Mets on the field tonight came in the form of Lucas Duda as he smashed three home runs.
