With Ryan Fitzpatrick dealing with a banged up thumb on the sidelines, the New York Jets turned to Geno Smith who got lit up on this play.

Not only did the New York Jets get completely manhandled by the Oakland Raiders this Sunday, but Geno Smith was getting lit up. Smith, who entered early due to Ryan Fitzpatrick’s thumb injury, was hit hard twice on the day. Once came late in the game and in the pocket when D’Brickashaw Ferguson missed a block, and the other came along the sideline when cornerback David Amerson destroyed him as he tip-toed the sideline.

Geno was probably thankful to get out of the game alive.
