New York Yankees’ designated hitter Alex Rodriguez clobbered his first home run of the 2016 season in today’s contest.
There were 33 A-Bombs that were hit last year for the New York Yankees, and today we saw the first of 2016.
In the top of the first inning of today’s game against the Detroit Tigers, Alex Rodriguez crushed a long home run off Mike Pelfrey.
It was a 3-2 pitch right in A-Rod’s wheelhouse and he made sure to drive it into the deepest part of the ballpark to give the Yankees a 1-0 lead.
It was Rodriguez’s first career home run off Pelfrey, but he does have a .313/.389/.313 slash line against the right-hander.
