It’s off to the Shark Tank for Keith Kinkaid and the rest of the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night in the wide world of the NHL.
- New Jersey Devils (31-29-7, 69 pts)
- San Jose Sharks (37-23-6, 80 pts)
- Today, 10:30 PM on CSCA, MSG+
- SAP Center at San Jose, San Jose, California
It’s never easy for an NHL team when their starting goaltender is lost for an extended period of time. In the case of the New Jersey Devils, it’ll be even more difficult than normal.
Cory Schneider wasn’t just the Devs best player, he was an NHL All-Star this season. However, the show must go on, and it’ll go on with backup Keith Kinkaid for the second straight game, via Associated Press:
“I have to make a few stops for my team,” said Kinkaid, who dropped to 5-6-1 with a 2.75 goals-against average as a starter following Sunday’s 6-1 loss to Pittsburgh. “I have to make a big stop to give them the momentum.”
New Jersey will meet with a familiar face in Peter DeBoer tonight. DeBoer coached the Devils from 2011 through 2015.
