The Yankee Stadium-based club saw their unbeaten home record this season end when Cyle Larin’s brace claimed all three points for his side in Orlando’s 2-1 victory. On the road, New York City have earned just one win this season, a 2-0 victory over the Philadelphia Union.
The Crew will enter the clash off the back of a defeat as well, as they fell 2-0 to NYCFC’s local rivals the, New York Red Bulls, at the Red Bull Arena this past Saturday.
Manager Patrick Viera has stated that he is pleased with his side’s response to the recent defeat, claiming that his men have shown great intensity on the training pitch.
“I’ve had the answer I wanted from the players,” Viera said. When you look at the intensity and the way they’re working, I’m really pleased.”
“Now we have to transfer that into the game,” he added.
Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET in the Columbus Crew Stadium this Saturday.
