New York Knicks forward Marcus Morris and Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid engage in a heated scuffle on Wednesday.
The New York Knicks are hanging tough on a Wednesday night in Philadelphia.
Forget hanging tough; early in the fourth quarter, the road team leads by six. New York put together a tremendous third quarter, leading by as many as 17.
As of this moment, however, what’s stuck in everybody’s mind is the heated scuffle that surfaced in the first half.
Noted tough guy Marcus Morris took down Joel Embiid while the latter had him boxed out. It led to a heated scuffle that saw both teams become heavily involved.
How the Marcus Morris-Joel Embiid skirmish would be handled in each NBA decade:
80s: A fun moment for all to enjoy.
90s: A misdemeanor, one everybody secretly loves.

00s: A felony.
10s: A full-out national security breach. #NewYorkForever pic.twitter.com/QH1yJkpvBB— ESNY (@EliteSportsNY) November 21, 2019
With 8:32 remaining in regulation, Morris has 12 points on 5-of-13 from the floor. Embiid has poured in 16 on a tough shooting night (5-of-16).
If the Knicks can find a way to hold on, it’ll bring their record to 5-11 to go along with a two-game winning streak.
