Jamal Adams is reportedly drawing interest from the Dallas Cowboys as the New York Jets consider a trade deadline fire sale.
According to multiple reports, the New York Jets are listening to offers for All-Pro strong safety Jamal Adams. A trade to the Dallas Cowboys would be a homecoming for Adams, who grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
On Jamal Adams and the #Cowboys: I’m told the #Jets are asking for more than a 1st rounder (as they should) and that a deal right is not close or imminent. It could happen, but there isn’t momentum for it right now. 72 minutes to go.

There are two teams competing for #Jets S Jamal Adams, Dallas being the main.
One source told me he would be “stunned” if Adams wasn’t dealt before the deadline.

A deal for Jamal Adams is not done, but the #Cowboys and #Jets are indeed still talking.
I asked a Cowboys front office source if a 1st & 3rd would be compensation they'd consider for Adams.
His response: "We wouldn't do that."

To add to these reports, Ryan Clark of ESPN notes that Adams would like to return home to play for the Cowboys.
ESPN’s Ryan Clark said Jets’ S Jamal Adams would like to go home to Texas and play for the Cowboys.

The Jets seem to be considering a complete overhaul after their 1-6 start. Adams is one of the team’s biggest stars and the unquestioned leader of the defense.
However, general manager Joe Douglas is inheriting Mike Maccagnan‘s roster and it wouldn’t be shocking to see a complete teardown.
More to come on this developing story.
