When selecting fantasy football players for DFS NFL Week 3, ensure that you’re targeting the up-tempo games sure to please.

It’s another week and if you have been reading and listening to my picks, it’s been another profitable week. Ignore the names and play the matchups again this week.

If it’s not broke, why fix it? Good luck in Week 3.

Quarterbacks:

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens $7,000

Lamar Jackson is on the list again. He’s in another great matchup and if you haven’t realized it yet, I play matchups more then the names.

This is another up-tempo game for the Baltimore Ravens and Jackson will benefit once again. He has a 12% touchdown rate on his passes (4% is league average), so this joy ride with him will end soon but week three isn’t that time. Out wide, Marquise Brown ($5,900) and tight end Mark Andrews ($4,600) are the two you want to pair with Lamar Jackson this week.

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills, $5,900

Josh Allen is in a great matchup this week against the Cincinnati Bengals. Jimmy Garoppolo lit up this same defense a week ago and Josh Allen could easily do the same. Allen has the ability to throw for 250 yards and rush for 50 or more yards.

I love his upside this week and if you want to pair another pass catcher with Allen, John Brown ($5,500) has seen 18 targets in the first two weeks and these two have the chance to be the highest-scoring QB-WR combo this week.

Other plays I like: Matthew Stafford ($5,500) and Mason Rudolph ($4,800)

Running Backs:

Dalvin Cook, Minnesota Vikings, $7,800

While Dalvin Cook is healthy, the Minnesota Vikings will make him the focal point of the offense. Through the first two weeks, he has averaged over 30 fantasy points per game while averaging over 130 rushing yards per game. This is my lock of the week and he should continue his hot streak to start off the season and to show why he should be considered a top-five running back for the rest of year.

Frank Gore, Buffalo Bills $4,400

Devin Singletary is going to miss this game and that means Frank Gore will see around 20-25 touches this week. At Gore’s DraftKings price, workload and matchup, he offers great value. I expect Buffalo’s offense to have a monster week and I have no problem stacking the quarterback (Josh Allen), running back (Frank Gore) and wideout (John Brown). The Bills offense is predictable in the sense that they have their top playmakers and the Bengals won’t be able to stop them.

Other plays I like: Christian McCaffrey ($8,700) and Miles Sanders ($3,900)

Wide Receivers:

Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons $7,300

Every other wide receiver priced above Julio Jones this week has either a tough matchup or is catching passes from a backup. Matt Ryan is top seven in the league in passing attempts and has completed the second most passes through two weeks. Julio Jones has seen 21 targets and is averaging 22 fantasy points per game. If you are going to pay up for a wide receiver this week, it should be Julio Jones.

Nelson Agholor, Philadelphia Eagles $3,600

Desean Jackson will already miss week three because of injury and Alshon Jeffrey hasn’t practiced all week. If both are going to miss the game, Nelson Agholor will be in line for a massive bump in targets. Last week,  he saw 11 targets and he caught eight passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. He could have added another 45 yards and another TD but he dropped a wide-open pass late in the fourth quarter. Huge upside at a discounted price this week could lead to a monster day for Nelson Agholor and for those who decide to take a chance on the South California Trojan this week in fantasy.

Other plays I like: Kenny Golladay ($6,600) and Marquise Brown ($5,900)

Tight Ends:

Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles $5,700

With the Philadelphia Eagles being rattled with injuries in Week 2, Zach Ertz saw 16 targets. He should be the top targeted tight end again this week and his price is the cheapest it has been all season. The Detroit Lions look like a tough matchup on paper, but they have faced two teams who don’t use the tight end often which have led to them being a top-four team against tight ends. Lock and load Zach Ertz this week

Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens $4,600

He’s in another great match-up and he has caught 16 out of his 17 targets this season while averaging 28 fantasy points per game. His price has gone up but he has everything that you are looking for is playing a tight end (price, targets and matchup). Lock and load Mark Andrews for another week

Defenses:

Dallas Cowboys ($4,300) and New England Patriots ($3,800)

They are playing the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. From this point on, you will play whatever defenses are playing either the New York Jets or Miami Dolphins.
