Everybody loves New York Yankees horse CC Sabathia at the LegaCCy Gala, presented by On the Scene with Mike Vivalo.
The Bronx Bombers cleaned up nicely for the LegaCCy Gala to support The Pitcch In Foundation.
Tuxedos replaced pinstriped uniforms Monday night when New York Yankees southpaw CC Sabathia and his wife Amber hosted a black-tie Gala at The Shed at Hudson Yards.
A who’s who of current and former athletes and celebrities came out to support Sabathia’s PitCCh In Foundation dedicated to enriching the lives of inner-city youth. CC has been making his retirement tour this season with hopes of ending on a high note to go along with a second World Series ring and the Yankees 28th.
I spoke with a bunch of Sabathia’s friends as they reflected on his career and added personal messages. Wednesday night will mark the big lefty’s last regular-season home start and possibly his last career start ever.
I shared my ideas for some signs to commemorate his career and the impending AL East title (something the club can clinch on Wednesday night with a win or a Tampa Bay loss).

CC Sabathia is a Baseball Hall of Famer, easily, maybe even first-ballot. I mean the dude has the third-most strikeouts by a lefty (3087) and is 28th all-time in games started (559), which is a very underrated stat.
Either way, he has put his mark on the game and it would be epic to go out on top with a World Series victory.
