The New Jersey Devils will play in split-squad games Monday, with Jack Hughes debuting at the Prudential Center against the Boston Bruins.
Jack Hughes and his New Jersey Devils will have their first taste of on-ice action against players wearing different jerseys on Monday.
The Devils will play at the Prudential Center, taking on the Boston Bruins. A second squad of Devils will head to Montreal to play the Canadiens.
Hughes, 18, was the first overall selection in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
After a summer of talking about what Hughes can bring to this team, the organization and its fan base will finally see the youngster in action.
Hughes will center a line with Nikita Gusev and Wayne Simmonds. This is the same line that played together in Sunday’s intrasquad game.
