Klay Thompson announced he was signing an extension with the Golden State Warriors with an all-time Instagram post.

On Monday, it was announced that Klay Thompson would be staying in the Bay Area.

The All-Star guard is re-signing with the Golden State Warriors for five years and $190 million. Yes, the Splash Brothers are officially staying together.

Right around when the news broke, Thompson took to Instagram to announce his decision to stay with the Warriors. Thompson ultimately used an infamous movie scene; the “Wolf of Wall Street” scene where Jordan Belfort tells everyone that, no, he’s not leaving.

Thompson will rejoin the Warriors and team up once again with Steph Curry and Draymond Green in hopes of winning a fourth NBA title together. This past season, they were two games away from winning their fourth, however, were ultimately beaten by the Toronto Raptors.

A big part of this past season’s NBA Finals loss was the injuries to Thompson and Kevin Durant. Thompson suffered a torn ACL, with Durant suffering a ruptured Achilles. Durant, now a member of the Brooklyn Nets, most likely will sit out all of next season.

Thompson will definitely take on more of a primary scoring role without Durant. He averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists on 46.7% shooting from the field through 78 games last season, but expect those numbers to improve when he is fully healthy.

The Warriors won’t see Thompson until at least late February, early March, but when he does return, he’ll re-join a loaded backcourt. Rather than losing Durant for nothing, Golden State was able to snag D’Angelo Russell from the Nets in a sign-and-trade.
