Many have complained at Chambers Bay this week for the 115th U.S. Open, but nobody has cried like a baby more than Billy Horschel.

Is anybody truly surprised about the backlash heard from these professional golfers?
Granted, the greens at Chambers Bay for the 115th U.S. Open aren’t the greatest. Even the casual onlooker can attest to that.
At the same time, this is the U.S. Open. The USGA tried something new. They took the event to a public course in the Great Northwest and decided to attempt a fresh look.
So, for some chatter to come out from these guys is understandable, but one Billy Horschel has taken it to another level.
This guy has visibly shown his frustration all day during Round 4. Even one point, he slammed his putter into the 9th green after he missed a birdie put that would’ve pushed him to 4-under on the day.
Not only that, but during his post-round chat with Fox Sports’ Holly Sonders (yes sir!), he didn’t mince words. He stated that he has “lost respect for the USGA” with the decision to play the championship on such a terrible putting surface.
For the 20th ranked professional golfer in the world, I have only this to say: shut up and play golf. Everybody is playing on these natural surfaces this week. It’s part of the game.
If the lackluster brings competition closer together than so be it. We don’t hear Jordan Spieth complaining.
