If you took your kids trick-or-treating and didn’t stop by CC Sabathia’s house, you missed out on an epic haul of candy—and possibly diabetes.

The only thing scarier than a perfectly placed cutter from CC Sabathia is the amount of candy the New York Yankees’ big fella bought for Halloween 2018.

An Instagram pic from CC’s wife Amber shows stacks on stacks of sweet treats for lucky trick-or-treaters who stopped by the Sabathia residence on Wednesday night.

The Sabathias don’t mess around when it comes to Halloween. The entire family went hard on their costumes, too:

Although all that sugar isn’t the healthiest way to give back to the community, it’s a perfect example of what makes the 38-year-old lefty so popular in the Yankees’ clubhouse and around town.

Sabathia’s other charitable efforts, through his PitCCh In Foundation and other platforms, even earned him a 2018 Roberto Clemente Award nomination.

Partying hard for the holiday looks like a great way to blow off steam after the Yankees lost to the Boston Red Sox in the ALDS this year, with CC starting the decisive game four. But now the Halloween fun is over, and Sabathia and the Bombers have a business decision to make.

In May, Sabathia hinted that he might retire at the end of the season, ostensibly changing his mind as the year progressed.

If Sabathia decides he’s down to play another year, it’s hard to imagine the Yankees not resigning him. His 3.65 ERA was the second best in the Bombers’ starting rotation, just behind Luis Severino’s team-leading 3.39.

The 18-year veteran is also a great deal, as he played 2018 on an extremely affordable one-year $10 million deal.

If Brian Cashman is going to make an offer, though, he might want to give CC a raise. Sabathia will need a little more in the bank to pay for his Halloween candy.
