With the New York Yankees playing some red-hot baseball, it’s easy to forget about some of the other young studs working their way back to the majors.

Everything seems to be clicking right now for the New York Yankees. Their offense is seeing the ball well. Their defense seems to be turning the corner. Their starting pitching has kept the Yankees in every game.

And it’s only April.

While we are still early in the season, the Yankees are still watching injuries very carefully. Clint Frazier is one of the guys who went down early with a concussion in spring training and is just now making his rehab starts. And guess what? He’s killing it.

Frazier was assigned to High-A Tampa and has participated in four games so far. On Sunday afternoon, Frazier went 2-for-4, including a monster home run.

Imagine having him back in the Bronx, in a lineup that consists of Gary Sanchez, Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge? That is another power bat the Yankees will have pretty soon.

Not only is he doing well in his rehab stint, he also has quite a fan following. Sunday afternoon, Frazier’s girlfriend Faith Jewkes posted a picture of one fan in particular who decided to don his Frazier Halloween costume to the Tampa Tarpons game.

Nice work, kid. The creativity gets an A+ for sure.

While Frazier is becoming well-known, apparently Aaron Boone doesn’t have that luxury just yet. In fact, Sunday afternoon he experienced a rather embarrassing moment when wearing his full Yankee uniform.

Uh oh…I’m not sure if that is more embarrassing for Boone himself or for the security guard. Imagine NOT knowing who Aaron Boone was. After all, Angels Stadium was filled with Yankees fans. He HAD to know, right?

Whatever happens, hopefully the Yankees can continue playing off the underdog role the Boston Red Sox have put them in this year. If that means Aaron Boone has to go unrecognized by other teams, so be it!
