That’s right New York Jets fans … with your team on a bye week, it’s time to sit back, put your feet up and actually enjoy the NFL.

From an overall perspective, a bye week is usually a horrible thing. An entire football team fandom is quieted for a week while their heroes enjoy life without the daily aches and bruises.

From a New York Jets fans perspective, it’s a little different.

The usual pain and suffering the Jets put fans through allows us to spin the bye week a little differently. No heartache. No hurt. No high expectations to come crumbling down on a game-winning field goal as time expires.

With the Jets taking a break this Sunday, it’s time to enjoy life a little.

Without the Jets, you get to actually keep up with the NFL happenings around the league. You can flip on the Red Zone Channel or Game Mix and be into the 3-to-4 p.m. ET time of madness that happens during the 1 p.m. ET games.

It really a beautiful thing to just sit back, relax and actually enjoy football.

As far as the actual Week 11 schedule is concerned, it’s not great. Sunday night’s matchup between the Eagles and the Cowboys gets it done, but that’s in prime time. We need something at 1 p.m.

The Redskins playing New Orleans will be one to watch out for. All of your “Kirk Cousins needs to be in green” fans can keep a close eye on that one. The Rams and Vikings are the other nice matchup in the time slot. At 4 p.m. ET, New England visiting Oakland will be the main attraction.

The only question remaining on the season revolves around development and the quarterback situation. Will Bryce Petty or Christian Hackenberg see time? Will it happen prior to the team’s 10th loss? How many more victories will come while simultaneously pushing back that possible top 10 draft selection come the 2018 NFL Draft?

Only time will tell, but during those times, we won’t be relaxing like in Week 11.
