The New York Rangers are enjoying a rare three-day break from playing any games, but there is still a lot going on around the team.
Jimmy Vesey is recovering from a kick in the face during the New York Rangers’ win over the Edmonton Oilers game on Saturday afternoon.

Vesey said to the official Rangers’ Twitter account, “It’s almost like I saw the skate coming in slow motion but couldn’t move out of the way.”
Vesey needed a couple of root canals and when the swollen lip gets better, he will need a few caps done on his teeth. He will be in the lineup on Wednesday night when the Rangers take on the Blackhawks in Chicago.

Head coach Alain Vigneault confirmed that there would be no changes in the lineup when the Rangers play the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night at the United Center. This means defenseman Brendan Smith will sit for the sixth straight game. It has to be frustrating, I am sure. No one expected Smith to be out of action so long, but Vigneault doesn’t want to change a winning lineup, so Smith will have to wait before he can see some ice time. Henrik Lundqvist gets the start in goal.
MSG Unity
A few Rangers took in the Knicks game last night. Mats Zuccarello, Ryan McDonagh, Kevin Hayes, Henrik Lundqvist and Pavel Buchnevich with the floor seats. They must have a hook, eh?
