New York Knicks News Mix, 10/26/17: Frank Ntilikina Expected to Play Friday

New York Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek told reporters that he expects point guard Frank Ntilikina to play Friday vs. the Brooklyn Nets.

Since the New York Knicks drafted Frank Ntilikina with the No. 8 pick, he’s been plagued by injuries. The 19-year-old has played just a total of 26 minutes between the preseason and regular season combined. But Ntilikina got some good news today.

Head coach Jeff Hornacek told Ian Begley of ESPN New York that he expects the rookie to play on Friday against the Brooklyn Nets. The Knicks could use the help at point guard with starter Ramon Sessions struggling on both ends of the floor.

Frank’s only preseason action came against the Nets. He played 18 minutes at Madison Square Garden in his first ever NBA action. Ntilikina was impressive defensively and passing the ball.

New York hosts Brooklyn at the Garden at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will air on the MSG Network.
