Rutgers football will have Jacuzzi seats in the student section for their football season-opener against Washington on September 1st.

Most fans look to purchase the best seats possible when attending a sporting event. For Rutgers football’s season opener, the best seats have gotten a little bit cooler.

Rutgers announced on Thursday that they will place Jacuzzi seating in the student section for the football season-opener on September 1. Additionally, there will be boats in the north end zone where fans could win a seat in the boat to watch the game.

Students will have the chance to win the premium Jacuzzi seats, which are apart of the school’s “War Before the Shore” promotion.

The promotion is themed behind past TV show “Jersey Shore,” and will be running from the start of Labor Day weekend to season opening kick off.

According to Ryan Dunleavy of, the first 2,000 students in the student section will get a Rutgers football-branded Adidas tank top and sunglasses, while the first 5,000 fans will receive an Adidas beach towel.

Rick Thorpe, Rutgers Senior Associate AD for External Affairs and Strategic Communications told Sara Jane Harris of Sporting News on the anticipation building for the season opener.

“We are excited to kick off the start of college football in a big way. From hosting a showdown with a top-10, Pac-12 power in front of a nationally-televised audience, coupled with enjoying all of the shore-themed promotions that we have planned for the entire game day, and you have a fantastic way to start off the long holiday weekend. Everyone from across the entire state is invited to come out to enjoy the action and cheer on your Scarlet Knights.”

It’s Rutgers football’s first season partnered with Adidas, after they switched from Nike last summer. They’ve already had Migos perform, and now they have Jacuzzi seats.

Rutgers’ first year with Adidas is already making quite the splash, who knows what they’ve got planned next.
