Let the youth movement continue, top prospect Clint Frazier is reportedly getting his big call-up to the big leagues.
New York Yankees top outfield prospect Clint Frazier is expected to make his big league debut this weekend after recently receiving word that he should be on his way to meet the team in Houston.
According to MLB Pipeline, Frazier is currently the Yankees second-best prospect as well as cracking the top 20 prospects in the entire league.
The right-handed slugger has been described as having “legendary bat speed” and crushing raw power. He has all of the tools necessary to be a five-tool star in the major leagues.
Frazier sported a .257/.345/.474 slash line with 12 home runs and 42 RBI’s in 73 games this season with New York’s Triple-A affiliate Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
Had it not been for the brutal injury sustained by Dustin Fowler on Thursday night, we probably would not be seeing Frazier in the majors so soon, but it is certainly nothing to complain about.
The red-haired slugger is bringing his charismatic personality and powerful bat to the Bronx in what will be the beginning of a very promising young career.
