Carmelo Anthony bailed the New York Knicks out with a game-winner against Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

KP was the catalyst for the Knicks offense adding 29 points and 11 rebounds. Additionally, he provided a couple of stellar blocks to go along with some very impressive performances on the offensive end.

For the Wolves, it was the KAT show, as the star center provided the bulk of the offense for Minnesota. Towns dropped 47 points on the Knicks, including 68.2% shooting from the field.
Karl-Anthony Towns is TOO STRONG.
That's 40 points for @KarlTowns so far in the 100th game of his @NBA career! #PowerOfThePack pic.twitter.com/gGyDjWID9v

However, the rest of the Wolves weren’t up to the challenge against New York tonight, dropping their sixth home game of the season.
What’s most impressive for the Knicks is that they pulled off a win on a night where Carmelo Anthony didn’t have his best stuff. Melo nabbed 14 points on 31.2% shooting from the field.
With this win, the Knicks improve to 9-9, tied for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with the Indiana Pacers. Additionally, this win over the T’Wolves marks just the second road win of the season for the Knicks, which is certainly an encouraging sign for New York fans.
However, in classic Melo fashion, he did hit the game-winning basket in the dying moments of the fourth quarter after a huge Minnesota comeback:
