The good folks at Madison Square Garden decided to go with the sarcastic cheer near the end of the New York Rangers massive loss to the Pens.
- New York Rangers 1 (14-6-1, 29 pts)
- Pittsburgh Penguins 6 (12-5-3, 27 pts)
- NHL, Final, Box Score
- Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
Thanksgiving eve of 2016 will certainly be a night to forget for the New York Rangers. Sidney Crosby and the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins steamrolled their way to a 6-1 victory.
Henrik Lundqvist was chased in the second period after surrendering his fourth goal while Crosby collected two goals and an assist. He also mixed it up with Ryan McDonagh in the first period, one that saw Rick Nash as the only goal scorer.
Yet again, the crowned prince of the NHL can do whatever he wants. The only time he can fight is if he jumps a guy. #NYR #SidneyCrosby pic.twitter.com/Ox9GJJk350

The true moment of the night — the point at which we all knew this was a good-old fashioned whipping — was when the MSG faithful put together a brilliant mock cheer when New York finally put up its first shot of the period, with just 3:45 to go in regulation:
Does anybody do it better than the good folks at MSG? First shot coming well into the third. A good-old fashioned whipping. #NYR pic.twitter.com/P6H2p2yzyz

Who does it better than Rangers fans?
The Blueshirts will look to rebound in Philadelphia against the Flyers Friday afternoon.
