When New York Giants’ punter Brad Wing flashed a braces-filled smile during Sunday’s game, the internet had a field day with it.

After New York Giants’ fans discovered their punter Brad Wing had braces, an onslaught of memes ensued.

Following a play in which Wing unsuccessfully attempted to draw a roughing the kicker penalty, Chicago Bears’ linebacker Sam Acho seemed to have a few choice words for the punter. Fox Sports captured Wing’s reaction, which looked to be a combination of a wink and a smile at the linebacker. It was with this smile that Wing’s braces were revealed to the game’s television audience.

While Barstool went with the middle schooler crack, Giants nation’s preferred choice of joke seemed to be comparing Wing to smiling animals — also wearing braces.

Fans even got creative with movie and television references. One fan used Ben Stiller’s nerdy younger version of his character from the film There’s Something About Mary to draw parallels to Wing.

However, these were not all jokes at Wing’s expense. Some fans showed showed the former LSU punter some love via social media.

Props to Wing though for taking it all in stride, though. He retweeted all the above tweets on his own page, also finding the comedy in his braces. Wing responded to all the jokes via his Twitter account with a picture of his own, braces on full display.
