The Atlanta Falcons fell victim to questionable officiating in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks, leaving one fan in a glass case of emotion.
The Seattle Seahawks edged out the Atlanta Falcons 26-24 on Sunday afternoon to improve to 4-1 on the season.
For the most part this was a nail-biting thriller, however, this game will be remembered for one thing: a blown call.
Late in the fourth quarter, the Falcons had the ball with under two minutes left and were faced with a critical 4th-and-10. On this game-deciding play, quarterback Matt Ryan heaved the ball down field to his favorite target, Julio Jones. Jones had a chance to come down with the ball, but had his right arm pulled back by Seahwaks cornerback Richard Sherman, which caused the ball to fall incomplete. The referees failed to throw a flag, leaving Falcons’ fans everywhere incensed.
One girl was even brought to tears over the incident, and with good reason. Atlanta was legitimately stolen a chance to advance to 5-1 and further solidify themselves atop the NFC South.
But hey, at least we have this video to laugh about.
