For most 32 teams in the NFL, there comes a point in the season where they’re faced with a must win game. The New York Giants game against the Baltimore Ravens may not be a must-win game, but it’s pretty close to it.

A loss on Sunday would put the Giants at 2-4 and while they would not be out of the race for the NFC East or a wild card berth, it would put them behind the eight ball.

If the Giants were to lose on Sunday, they would have to go 8-2 or 7-3 in their remaining 10 games to have a realistic chance of making the playoffs. Over the past two seasons, the Giants have not had a winning streak longer than three games. So they haven’t shown that they can pull off a long winning streak to get several games above 500.

In addition, the Giants remaining 10 games aren’t easy. The record of their remaining opponents is 25-23 (52%) including two games against teams that are currently in first place in their division.

So the Giants need to take care of business on Sunday and get back to 500 before the season starts to get away.
