The New York Yankees will call up one of their brightest young prospects prior to tomorrow’s game.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the New York Yankees will call up Tyler Austin tomorrow to fill the vacancy left by Alex Rodriguez’s release.

Austin, 24, is as versatile as they come in Scranton, possessing the ability to play both corner infield and outfield positions. In 57 games since being promoted from Double-A Trenton, his slash is a brilliant .323/.415/.637. Additionally, he has smashed 13 homers and driven in 49 runs.

These stellar numbers would lead one to believe that he is big league ready.

Ultimately, he was favored over Aaron Judge, who has been impressing his way towards a much-anticipated call.

Expect both to play a large role in the final two months as the Yankees look to make an unlikely postseason push.
