New York Yankees’ No. 2 overall prospect Aaron Judge was named the International League’s batter of the week.

Aaron Judge certainly earned it. His torrent play of late for the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Rail Riders has earned him batter of the week honors.

Determined to prove his dominance over Triple-A level competition and earn a call to the bigs, the 24-year-old hit .458 (11-24) with with five homers and nine RBIs in six games last week.

With that said, the stretch extends further. Over his last 10 games he hitting .343 with six long balls and 11 runs batted in.

The outstanding numbers have risen his overall slash to a formidable .266/.351/.486. Furthermore, he now has 15 homers and 45 RBIs overall in 72 games with the Triple-A club this year.

Easily the hottest hitter in the International League, the 6’7″, 275 lb right fielder and 2013 first round pick is knocking on the door.
