New York City FC played from behind all night thanks to a goal from Ethan Finlay at the seventh-minute mark, and despite two goal from David Villa, they fell to the Columbus Crew by the final of 3-2 on the road on Saturday night.

Just minutes after the Finlay goal, Kei Kamara nearly doubled the lead, but he hit the post.

It was the opening, and perhaps the motivation NYCFC needed.

Down 1-0, NYCFC started taking an aggressive stance which resulted in the first goal by Villa at the 15′ mark.

Kamara, however, finally broke through just five minutes into the second half and the Crew never looked back.
